Gatorland is reviving its Gatorpalooza Fun Fest as a two-day event in mid-May, the attraction announced Wednesday.
Gatorpalooza will feature live music, artisans, craft vendors, expanded food offerings, games, appearances by the Gatorland Vlog Team and more on May 15 and 16. On Gatorpalooza Saturday, the park will hold the Gator Man Challenge contest. The next day will include the Turkey Dog Toss Contest with visitors heaving the dogs to Gatorland folk stationed in boats in the alligator breeding marsh.
“We are so excited that we can make Gatorpalooza happen this year for our guests to enjoy,” Mark McHugh, president, and CEO of Gatorland said in a news release. “We are ready to roll out the fun and excitement the Gatorland way during this special weekend event.”
The attraction, located on South Orange Blossom Trail, introduced the event in 2019 but did not hold it last year as a pandemic precaution.
For the month of May, Florida residents can enter Gatorland for $14.99, one-half the usual admission price. Florida ID must be presented when buying the half-price tickets.
